Over the last four seasons, Ralph has also done play-by-play and ice-level reporting for NHL Radio for World Cup and NHL regular season and playoff games, including last spring’s Western Conference Final series. His career in broadcasting began with his first paying radio job at the age of 16 and he has called all sports at all levels with his work being aired on local and national outlets including ESPN, DirecTV, Fox Sports Southwest, Westwood One and Armed Forces Radio. Bitten by the acting bug, Ralph made his film debut in the 2006 Disney/Jerry Bruckheimer movie “Glory Road,” where he played an NCAA Tournament sportscaster. Over the last two years, Ralph has also hit the stage in two productions at Dallas’ “Theatre Coppell.” He played a cockney chef in “Don’t Dress for Dinner” and a reluctant baseball coach in the two-man show “Rounding Third”. Ralph, his wife Stephanie and daughter Savannah live in Coppell, Texas.
Showing his talents to a national audience, Reaugh has done work with ABC, ESPN and FOX. He will work as a color analyst for the Versus network in 2006-07 and was part of ESPN's coverage of the 1996, 1997 and 2000 Stanley Cup Playoffs. He served as an analyst and reporter on ABC's NHL coverage in the 1999-2000, 2000-2001 seasons and on the NHL on FOX coverage in the 1997-98 season. During the 2001-02 season he changed seats and called radio play by play on a couple Stars broadcasts during Ralph Strangis' absence. Reaugh has also used his talents beyond the broadcasting booth. He provided the color analyst dialogue and voice for EA Sports' NHL '98 and NHL '99 video games, and periodically serves as a guest host on Sports Radio 1310 The Ticket in Dallas. He also writes a popular web blog on the Dallas Stars’ official website titled “Razor With An Edge.” As a player, Reaugh's career included stints in the NHL with both the Edmonton Oilers and the Hartford Whalers. His promising career was cut short in 1991 due to a severe hamstring injury. Prior to turning pro, he was an all-star netminder for the Kamloops Blazers of the Western Hockey League. Daryl, his wife Kristin, and daughters Falyn and Kendyl, reside in Coppell, Texas. |
